Wheaten Connect respects your privacy and handles personal data with care. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

1. What data

  • Account: email address, display name, password (encrypted).
  • Profile: optional profile information you provide yourself (bio, country, photo).
  • Content: dogs, litters, photos, diplomas, posts and messages you post yourself.
  • Usage: technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit (for security and troubleshooting).
  • Payment: for paid accounts, a transaction reference; card details are handled by our payment provider.

2. Why

  • Performance of the agreement (providing the Platform).
  • Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
  • Communication: transactional emails (confirmations, password reset). Marketing emails only with consent.
  • Legal obligations (for example record keeping).

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on (a) performance of the agreement, (b) your consent where required, or (c) a legitimate interest in a secure and working platform.

4. Processors

For hosting, database, email delivery and payments we use professional processors who are contractually bound to confidentiality and security. Data may be processed within the EU or in countries with an adequate level of protection.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. After deletion of your account we erase your personal data within a reasonable term, unless a legal retention obligation requires otherwise. Anonymous statistics may be kept longer.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten");
  • object to certain processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent previously given.

7. Cookies

Wheaten Connect uses functional cookies (e.g. for session handling and preferences). Without them the Platform will not work correctly. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies without separate consent.

8. Changes

This policy may be amended. Material changes will be announced via the Platform.
